I'm not sure I can remember Dahlias still being in flower quite this late, but they're still putting on a fair show. It's certainly been an incredibly mild autumn here, with no frosts to speak off yet so there remains quite a lot of colour in the garden, including white and pink Cosmos and Calendula as well as perennial cornflower (reprising its spring performance) and Hesperantha, in both pink and off-white. We even have some late Gladioli coming into flower, while the Sweet Peas are (quite literally) hanging on to their wigwams with some late, very welcome scent! Colder weather is on the horizon, though, so every day is a blessing!
